New Year's Eve

Time is ticking away....and a New Year is almost born. The champagne is chilling...

It is already 2009 somewhere on the globe, but here in on the Pacific Coast we have almost eleven hours left of 2008.

Morning Light

This morning, while doing nothing particular except thinking about what to wear to church, as I passed through the dining room I noticed that the morning sun was beaming through the window in the back door and striking a usually unremarkable corner....

...creating beams and reflections and sparkles of light



So while it lasted, I danced along in the moment, with the light and my camera...

One of the great things about photography is you are blessed with visions and details you never would have been able to see before....like the intricately constructed and beautifully colored hearts of these Christmas poinsettias....

Evening

One evening last week as I left work and walked out to the end of the large parking lot to my car....this gorgeous view called out for a photo. The trees that have been so thick and lush have been trimmed back, making dark patterns against the evening light.
